Medical Billing Manager (IN OFFICE)
Courage to Connect Mental Health Center is a Group Private Practice and is looking for a Medical Biller/Accounts Receivable/Claims Manager, who is highly motivated, responsible, reliable and detail-oriented with billing experience. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of strong Billing and Accounts Receivable and 2-3 years of Management experience. Those with experience in billing for mental health specialty are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements:

• Oversee and manage billing department and billing specialist
• Obtain insurance coverage eligibility, benefit verification, authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Manage full billing cycle via EMR
• Process/enter client payments via credit card
• Collect all copayments, outstanding balances for patient responsibility.
• Must be STRONGLY comfortable calling patients on the phone, setting up payment plans and asking for outstanding money.
• Enters patient demographic and insurance information in practice management system.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Reconcile Accounts Receivable with Bank Statements
• Review EOBs and post EOBs into practice management system.
• Experience with full cycle billing, insurance claims processing, payment processing, insurance denial follow up, and patient collections
• Follow up on insurance claim aging. Re-submit insurance claims as necessary and knowledgeable of timely filing restrictions
• Resolution of rejected claims (denials) via appeals, dispute unpaid claims, and other issues with EOBs.
• Monthly processing of patient statements. Answer and resolve patient billing inquiries
• Provide Monthly Accounts Receivable reports to Executive Clinical Director and CEO.
• Communicate with therapists regarding new and ongoing patients authorized for service.
• Ensure department is run efficiently and accurately.
• Meet and exceed department billing goals and metrics
• Manage payor relationships/contracts and fee schedules
• Oversee pre-authorizations
• Oversee credentialing consultant
• Sort and File paperwork (electronically or manually)
• Lead team in efficient cycle management.
