We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial concepts and possess excellent technical accounting skills. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing and recording all invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Duties:

• Manage accounts payable operations with accuracy and efficiency
• Utilize knowledge of sworn statements and schedule of values to enhance processes
• Navigate the lien waiver process with ease, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Ensure timely processing of financial transactions to maintain financial integrity
• Process and code invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
• Verify and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all payments are up to date
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure proper approval and documentation for purchases
• Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
• Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) to manage accounts payable processes
• Conduct double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial reporting

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
• Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles
• Demonstrated experience in accounts payable roles
• Understanding of lien waivers and the lien waiver process is a plus
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
