Veterinary Client Service Representative

Client Service Team Annapolis, Maryland Minimum Experience Mid-level Compensation $15 / hour Full-time, hourly position.

Shifts are scheduled monthly and will vary according to company needs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Client Service Team (CST) Member is responsible for greeting and checking in clients and patients, assessing the severity of each patient's problem upon arrival, prioritizing the order in which patients are seen by veterinarians, explaining treatment plan and associated costs, facilitating and processing payments, answering multi-line telephone system, routing calls to appropriate staff, providing guidance to clients and prospective clients over the telephone, batching and scanning medical records to electronic database, coordinating communication between referring veterinarians and emergency clinicians, educating clients on patients' issues, providing comfort to grieving clients, and more.

There is a substantial administrative component to this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educational requirement : high school diploma or equivalent. College degree a plus.
  • Candidates for this position should possess at least two (2) years of experience performing advanced customer service work.

Successful candidates will be cheerful, polished, and professional, exhibiting excellent oral and written skills.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrating thoughtful and prudent decision-making abilities, and highly-developed interpersonal skills.
  • This is a 24-hour emergency clinic open 365 days per year. All employees are expected to work some combination of nights, weekends, and holidays.

This is not negotiable. If you have schedule limitations, this is not a position for you.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Depends upon experience & qualifications. $15 / hour .

Shift differential between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. is 25% per hour.
