POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse Manager Surgical Services is responsible for the day-to-day clinical operation and oversight of the Center. The management spectrum covers planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, resource allocation, cost controls, and compliance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nurse with experience in procedures and/or operating room, PACU, or Pre-Admission in a endoscopic or surgical setting. Prefer two or more years of recent management experience in ambulatory care.
Charged experience, lead, clinical coordinator, or nurse manager experience is highly preferred
Progressive nursing leadership experience
BSN degree or in school pursuing the degree preferred
Basic computer knowledge
REQUIRED LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION:
Current BCLS certification
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Florida state Registered Nurse licensure
Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Certified Nurse Operating Room Preferred
Leadership Certification Preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSAND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred.
Demonstrated communication skills which indicate ability to be successful at counseling, teaching, and
assessing. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals, nationally recognized guidelines and regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, physicians, and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to staff, management and physicians.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, medical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
