Position Summary : This role will split its time between the NDT functions and general service technician in our shop. NDT : preparing equipment for testing, testing equipment and recording results.

Service Tech : will service all pressure control equipment by performing maintenance, repairing, rebuilding, and recertifying the equipment.

Reports to : Shop Manager

Job Description / Expectations :

Perform NDT operations according to Level II procedures

Prepare equipment for testing

Perform thorough visual inspection of equipment

Test equipment using appropriate NDT methods and Level II procedures

Record results

Perform daily maintenance and inspection on all applicable NDT equipment

Perform daily calibrations on all applicable equipment

Understand and complete job paperwork / Job boards through CORE system

Service

Review & understand work instructions

Receive Equipment

Visually inspect equipment

Tear-down equipment and determine what parts are needed to rebuild or service the equipment

Work with Purchasing / Inventory to get the parts needed to complete the job

Build Equipment

Mark / Stamp Equipment according to FHE Work Instructions

Palletize & Label equipment throughout the job processes

Understand and complete job paperwork / Job Board through CORE system

Maintain and Track tools - ensure they are in good working order before use

Assist other departments as necessary to ensure continued progress of job.

Any other duties or tasks as assigned, based on business needs and the shop foreman's request

Knowledge / Skills / Expertise :

Compiling, Checking, and recording information.

Communication proficiency, organizational skills, mathematical skills, thoroughness, time management

Read, write, and communicate in English

General understanding of Pressure Control Equipment

General Mechanical aptitude

Level II NDT certification

Good decision making skills and ability to work under pressure

Environmental Conditions and Work Environment :

Exposure to certain contaminants, at times

Exposure to loud noise levels, at times

This position works in a warehouse setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday.

This role may use standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, etc.

Tools & Equipment Used :

May be required to operate forklift to maneuver parts at times, operate overhead cranes, sanders, various welding equipment and tools, grinders, generators, wrenches, common hand tools and power tools.

Physical Demands :

The employee must regularly lift and / or move objects up to 50-75 pounds ore more without physical restrictions.

Specific vision abilities are required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision and depth perception.

Climbing on ladders may be required at times.

Employee is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time.

The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes / boots, gloves, hard hats, and hearing protection daily.
