POSITION SUMMARY: Understand deposit documentation and the core deposit system to perform account maintenance verification. Verify all deposit data input into the SilverLake (SL) system complies and matches new account opening documents and maintenance forms. Utilize core system reports to monitor file maintenance and to ensure receipt of documents to support maintenance. Partner with compliance, internal audit, accounting, operations, bookkeeping staff and system vendors to ensure systems are accurately, efficiently and consistently utilized.

Please note that we are hiring for only one position, although this opportunity is posted in multiple markets where Park State Bank is located. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Review new DDA, savings, CDs, IRAs and debit card accounts and field changes performed to ensure that the account is correct on core system
  • Contact staff for missing supporting documentation for new accounts or file maintenance
  • Return Mail Processing
  • Monitor pending closed and closed accounts and perform reviews on small balance accounts
  • Other duties as may be assigned

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible to become knowledgeable about and adhere to all relevant compliance regulations (as it affects the department)
  • Reports to the VP Deposit Systems Manager for all functions, but also receives requests, guidance and advice from other members of management. Must function independently with limited supervision. Makes appropriate decisions systematically within authority limits and seeks higher-level approval when appropriate. 
  • Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, departments, divisions, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed largely within the Bank with limited chance for personal injury. Prolonged and frequent mental and visual concentration required. Periodic stressful situations in response to multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally during normal business hours. Unscheduled evening and weekend work may be needed to meet the needs of customers and employees. Occasional travel between offices and out-of-town/overnight business travel required. Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds of office supplies and equipment. Some bending, turning, and twisting required. Serves as a representative of the Bank at appropriate functions.

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A 2- or 4- year accounting or business degree or other banking experience is preferred.

Requirements

Experience: A minimum of 1 year banking experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
