McLane Classic Foods is Hiring a QA Tech II Near Burleson, TX

***Earn a weekly attendance bonus of $2 per hour when working 100% of scheduled hours***

McLane Classic Foods is a premier custom kettle cooked food products company based in Burleson, Texas. Specializing in custom product development, we produce a wide range of kettle cooked recipes for our regional and national chain restaurant partners. Our capabilities include an array of kettle cooked food products including soups, sauces, side dishes and dips.


Schedule: Monday thru Saturday (
Mandatory); 3:00pm - 1:30am


Role and Responsibilities

Employee will be responsible for verifying/auditing completed products/documentation from each department.

  • Review product paperwork for customer specification compliance in addition to Complete necessary documentation for QA functions. (Ensure data accuracy into computer database).
  • Organize data on historical runs in response to customer complaints.
  • Serve as backup to QA coordinator in tasks such as: Coordinating hold inventory with 3rd party logistics and proactively driving investigations into hold product, including obtaining samples for retests and staging follow up evaluations with quality management.
  • Pre-op inspection including swabbing before or after sanitation.
  • Perform and submit micro and swab forms to the lab.
  • Conduct, assemble and report data for product testing requirements.
  • Perform HACCP/Quality checks as required and document results.
  • Ensure plant personnel are following GMP/HACCP/Allergen and other pre-requisite programs.
  • Calibrate lab equipment (thermometers, pH meter, salt titrator, brix, hygiena machine, FT-NIR etc.).
  • Place any non-conforming product under QA hold as needed or directed.
  • Work closely with production and maintenance employees as needed to ensure Food Safety and Quality is maintained.
  • Perform weekly and monthly facility inspections.
  • Collect water monthly samples.
  • Perform room temperatures.
  • Communicate information, escalate concerns adequately and Additional responsibilities as instructed by to QA Coordinator and Manager.
  • Adhere to plant GMPs and safety guidelines.

Skills and Requirements

  • Be able to stand, bend and lift for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in a cool to cold environment (-10F to 40F) during an 810-hour shift.
  • Must be able to periodically lift up to 50lbs. from ground level to height of 4’.
  • Intermediate math, literacy and computer skills required (English).
  • Allergen & HACCP training required. (Chemical training required if handling sanitation chemicals)


Additional Notes

May be required to stay past end of shift to assist with daily activities depending on production flow.
