Job Title: Applications Architect

• Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site)
• Compensation: $140,000/yr W2 OR $95/hr 1099/C2C

Scope of Work:

As an Applications Architect at TekBank, you will:

• Design Recommendations: Provide strategic design recommendations aligned with long-term IT organizational strategy.
• Enterprise-Level Development: Develop enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements, interfaces, functions, and features.
• Automated Systems Applications: Utilize a variety of platforms to deliver automated systems applications.
• Integration Expertise: Offer expertise on integrating applications across the Department.
• Specifications and Planning: Determine specifications and plan, design, and develop the most complex and business-critical software solutions using appropriate software engineering processes, either individually or as part of a project team.
• Standards and Procedures: Develop programming and development standards and procedures, as well as programming architectures for code reuse.
• Programming Languages: Leverage in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches for designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs.
• Application Development Methodologies: Understand and consistently apply current application development methodologies.
• Emerging Technologies: Research and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and possible applications for potential use by the Department.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in multiple IT areas and
• Two (2) to three (3) years of relevant architecture experience.
• Experience as a .NET full-stack developer.
• Advanced to expert-level knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications systems design, and integration.
• Proven experience providing design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy.
• Extensive experience developing enterprise-level applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features.
• Proficient in using various platforms to deliver automated systems applications.
• Expertise in integrating applications on an enterprise-wide level.
• Strong experience determining specifications and planning, designing, and developing complex, business-critical software solutions.
• Established ability to develop programming and development standards and procedures, as well as programming architectures for code reuse.
• Proficiency in state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs.
• Research and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and potential applications for enterprise-wide use.
• Proven ability to assist in resolving difficult IT support problems.
• Consistent application of current application development methodologies.
• Act as a technical expert across multiple disciplines, as well as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
• Ensure application performance and security standards through best practices.
• Experience in data management, metadata management, data governance, or information management in a scientific, governmental, or environmental context.
• Strong understanding of environmental science concepts, regulations, and challenges.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
