Minnetonka Public Schools is Hiring an Executive Director of Minnetonka Community Education, 1.0 FTE Near Minnetrista, MN
- Serves as a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet as the leader of district-wide community education services and strategies. Provide leadership for all MCE programs and events, including early childhood, youth and adult programs, and management of the MCE building
- Develop and administer the Minnetonka Community Education program budget.
- Secure sponsorship for MCE events and programs.
- Serves as a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet as the leader of district-wide community education issues and strategies.
- Develop and maintain School Board policies, District protocols, and operational plans related to MCE that are in compliance with state and federal law and are consistent with the District's vision, mission, and strategic plan.
- Ensure robust and effective marketing of MCE including the publication of the MCE catalog.
- Develop and complete mutual commitments tied directly to the District's Strategic Plan
- Serve as primary liaison between the Minnetonka Community Education Advisory Council, the Superintendent, participating City Councils and various community organizations regarding issues related to MCE.
- Provide leadership for the Minnetonka Community Education Advisory Councils.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level that may be assigned
- Current Minnesota Department of Education Community Education Directors License required.
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, business administration or related field with 7 years of experience in management, community education, budgeting and supervision of staff, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
- Evidence of excellent record of past performance applicable to performing the duties of the position.
- Master's degree preferred
- Public sector and/or school district experience preferred
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Evidence of excellent human relations skills.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Competitive salary and benefits package.
This position will be placed on an individual contract.
