Shell Rock Senior Living is Hiring a Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist - Part-Time Near Shell, IA

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist, you will perform operational functions ensuring the integrity and privacy of medical record documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Assist in the planning, development and maintenance of clinical records and health information systems in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as professional practice standards and facility policies to assure that a complete health information management program is maintained. Responsible for the supervision and management of site-specific healthcare records, assuring performance standards are met forall job functions. Participate in meetings such as management team, QAPI, IDT and other appropriate meetings as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited health information program and/or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with proven organization and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new applications.
  • Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
