SUMMARY:

The Marketing Assistant is responsible for providing support for the Marketing department. This position will perform a wide range of marketing, communication, and administrative duties to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments and enhance the marketing department's efficiency and effectiveness in support of the organization's brand.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with the Marketing Manager to manage brand and marketing initiatives.

Create reports on marketing campaign performance.

Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.) and assisting the Marketing Manager with analyzing data to monitor campaigns and evaluate results.

Update company website and align web content with SEO best practices.

Update company mobile app and schedule/manage content notifications.

Taking photos or videos of projects, events, and employees to use for social media, narrative content, educational content, etc.

Editing short videos for internal/external updates, ads, or social media.

Coordinate marketing travel arrangements, prepare itineraries and logistics as necessary.

Assist with design, creation, and distribution of marketing materials and promotional items.

Handle department supply needs, order equipment, set up new employees, etc.

Coordinate sponsorships and special events alongside various departments/divisions on an as-needed basis.

Assist with planning and coordination of tradeshows/conferences/special events.

Assist Marketing Manager with managing the company store and communicating with vendors/employees.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate degree in marketing, business or a related field; OR substitute 1 year of relevant industry experience in marketing, design, or communications.

Minimum 1 year of marketing/communication experience, preferably in a B2B climate.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

High level of organization and attention to detail.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Excellent time management skills, able to resist personal phone usage throughout the day.

Ability to engage others through strong interpersonal and social abilities.

Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strongly Preferred: Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).

Preferred: Experience with WordPress and search engine optimization (SEO.

Spanish-speaking is a significant plus.

TRAVEL:

No more than 10%. (Includes tradeshows and visits to satellite offices and jobsites).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with exceptions for travel and jobsite visits which will involve varying environmental factors (changing temperatures, weather, time of day, etc.)

Noise level is usually low to medium (exceptions may exist with jobsite visits, but PPE will be provided and required)

Very occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
