Niko`s Bakery in Owensboro, KY is looking for one kitchen help to join our 20 person strong team. We are located on 601 Emory Drive. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.

We are a fully scratch made bakery focusing on Greek and European cuisine. We pride ourselves in making as from scratch as possible and we are always working on new food experiments.

We run a clean and organized kitchen and hold everyone on the team responsible for maintaining and improving on that.

We produce a lot of different sweet and savory items. If you're interested in learning more about cooking or looking for a kitchen that takes pride in quality, then you may be the right fit for us.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing all menu items -- pastries, desserts, sandwiches, soups, bread, dressings, and more.
• Maintain a clean work space.
• Working on the sandwich line during service.
• Assisting with customers as needed.
• Cleaning, stocking, sorting organizing, and all the other basic aspects of working in a small, scratch-made kitchen.

Qualifications

• Eagerness to learn.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers.
• Quick work pace/sense of urgency.
• Ability to lift items over 50 lbs.
• Ability to work on your feet for an 8-hour shift that includes reaching into low refridgerators or high shelves.
• Basic kitchen experience.

Requirements

• Able to work occassional early mornings starting as early as 4 am.
• Able to work Saturdays.
• Able to work the occasional closing shift.

Our hours are Mon-Fri 7 am-6 pm and Sat 7 am - 2 pm.
