Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh is Hiring a Credit Risk Analyst Near Pittsburgh, PA

Position Summary The Credit Risk Analyst will prepare and maintain key credit risk reports, including depository, insurance, and CDFI member analysis. This role also includes performing key processes such as updating member internal credit ratings, performing regulatory monitoring, maintaining the depository scorecards and performing benchmarking and back-testing. This position requires performing special projects as needed. Effective verbal and written skills are needed to effectively communicate findings and best serve the membership and Bank. Primary Success Factors Utilize various reports and systems to monitor member internal credit ratings (ICRs), exposure, key ratios and capital position. Gather financial data including annual reports, regulatory examination reports, enforcement actions, press releases, stock prices, NRSRO reports and trend data to aid in the risk analysis of members. Prepare and maintain detailed financial analyses for key committee reports and for Top 20 and Watchlist members on at least a quarterly basis. These reports include a key ratio analysis, peer comparisons and trend data. The Watchlist includes recommendations on the appropriateness of the current rating and collateral delivery status. Monitor and summarize member exam reports and regulatory actions Assist with maintenance of the bank/thrift and credit union scorecards, including participating in UAT testing to ensure updates are appropriately input in Bank systems, and completing quarterly scorecard proofing. Monitor rules and regulations that may impact how credit risk is measured and how collateral position may be calculated for the membership. Perform annual benchmarking reviews and ongoing back-testing to ensure that the scorecards continue to effectively measure risks in the membership. Independently complete special projects, including researching, developing presentations, and summarizing key take-aways. Contribute to an effective internal control environment within the credit area that values conformity with Bank policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field Three or more years of experience in the financial services industry Demonstrated understanding of financial institution credit risk analysis concepts and principles, including credit risk measurement practices General understanding of depository institution financial statements, in particular bank balance sheets. Working knowledge of common types of loans and investment securities Working knowledge of key loan and investment security Call Report schedules Ability to communicate effectively with management, internal staff and peers, as well as externally with members, vendors and regulatory agency personnel Demonstrated self-starter; effective time management skills Knowledge of Bank credit risk systems, such as credit limits, approval and workflow systems Must possess appropriate analytical skills to analyze and evaluate the credit risk associated with member financial institutions, counterparties, and vendors Database skills such as Microsoft Office Suite and external vendor financial institution call report databases Experience with Tableau a plus It is the policy of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh to ensure equal employment opportunity (EEO) for all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability status, genetic information, veteran's status, ancestry, sexual orientation or status as a parent as defined by applicable law.
