Summary of Position:

Assist in providing friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests by ensuring the correct food is going to the correct table, with the correct specs in the correct amount of time. Each Expoditer’s primary objective is to ensure that the food that is coming from the kitchen is being prepared correctly and going to the right place.. We also work with in alignment with our Core Values of: Hospitality, Teamwork, Integrity, Positivity

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare Garnishes and ensure freshness and quality.
• Communicate with the kitchen and inform the service team if things are running low.
• Be a go between the culinary and service team to help clarify any issues with tickets or communicate issues within the kitchen.
• Be an expert about the presentation of all dishes.
• Be able to multitask between garnishing food, listening to the kitchen, communicating with the service team, dropping toast, and making soups.
• Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
• Perform prep work at the start and end of each shift as required by needs of service and the following shift.
• Maintain clean service areas.
• Monitor and observe guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
• Polish glass and silverware as needed during service.
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
• Be ready and willing to assist the bus person with clearing and resetting tables.
• Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the general manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
• Be able to learn the restaurant's menu and preparation of the dishes on the menu.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
