The primary responsibilities of the Marketing Specialist are to create plans and toolkits that will assist store operators in driving awareness to their stores and meeting business objectives. This position will provide local marketing support by developing best practices, impactful tools, and plans for store-level marketing initiatives and new store Grand Openings with input from franchise owners. They will also create tools and plans for emerging markets to pilot and drive brand awareness in new areas. This role will serve as a comprehensive resource for all Grand Opening Marketing-related matters within emerging markets, and areas serviced by Area Representatives and Home Office staff. This involves providing consultation through 1-on-1 meetings and documenting information related to each store’s marketing plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Formulate and implement marketing plans tailored to the established territories as well as the emerging markets
Create and produce a tool kit to build awareness of the brand and the new store opening, utilizing a mix of traditional and digital marketing channels such as in-store merchandising, social media, email marketing, advertising, and local partnerships.
Train Area Representatives (ARs) to manage Grand Opening marketing plans for their respective territories
Serve as a comprehensive resource for all Grand Opening marketing-related matters to the ARs and Home Office territories.
Work closely with internal teams and store owners to align marketing efforts with overall business goals and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Operate within Grand Opening marketing budget
Administer shared advertising plans for stores in emerging markets
Utilize data analytics tools to track the performance of marketing initiatives, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize future campaigns.
Provide guidance to new store owners to ensure the successful execution of marketing strategies for Grand Openings and shared advertising within each territory
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Remain flexible and adaptable, adjusting strategies as needed based on evolving market conditions and business priorities.
Host monthly meetings with Home Office stores owners as well as ARs to review expenses

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Advertising or related field required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years of professional marketing experience required
At least 1 year of Grand Opening support work preferred
Experience working with franchise organizations preferred
Data analysis experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Demonstrate problem-solving, process improvement, and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of Trello or other project management software is preferred

The ability to analyze and report Grand Opening sales results
The ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
The ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance

Reliable internet and setting to perform job remotely
May require occasional travel to Home Office in East Lansing, MI or other company meetings as assigned
