DutiesThis position is located under the Human Resources and Professional Development (HRPD), Leadership and Professional Development Division (LPDD), Professional and Technical Training Development (PTTD) Branch in Glynco, GA.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the principle Bureau agent for planned organizational improvement by fostering a collaborative team approach to achieve consistency in training and devleopment.
As a Learning Technologies Training Specialist, GS-0301-13, your typical work assignments may include:
  • Designs, develops, documents, delivers, maintains and implements of technology ­based learning solutions, including on-line courseware, virtual classrooms, performance support tools and libraries.
  • Responsible for the functional and technical operation and enhancement of the HRPD Learning Management System (LMS) application and the processes and standards governing its use.
  • Serves as a project team leader to subject matter experts, vendors, ATF program office clients, and other HRPD training specialists in the design, development, and implementation of ATF custom on-line courseware.
  • Establishes plans to further refine and develop training solutions that focus on the cost-effectiveness of current and future technologies.
  • Implements a systemic process for the design, development, and delivery of on-line learning courses, and for the assessment of existing COTS courseware. Works with HRPD training , Leadership Development and program managers in the design and development of ATF custom on-line courseware, ensuring that required documentation and communication as necessary to complete the course development process is accomplished.

This is a non-bargaining unit position.MOBILITY PLAN: New employees hired pursuant to this vacancy announcement must sign a mobility agreement. To accomplish these objectives, the mobility plan will facilitate the movement of employees through special short-term assignments or permanent reassignments throughout the Bureau. QualificationsGS-13 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties:
  • Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the integration of technology-based learning solutions in HRPD training programs; AND
  • Communicating with tact, diplomacy, and persuasiveness in order to support the integration of technology into new and existing training courses.
  • Preparing in-depth reports, analysis, briefing papers, process documentation, and other written materials on the Bureau's training activities
