Hours:  Primarily first shift hours are available, with the possibility of some second shift hours as well.

Your Story. 

You will be watching for irregularities by examining trucks and vehicles entering the premises. Verifying and applying tamper evident seals. Remaining alert for the presence of unauthorized persons/vehicles. Keeps logs of all traffic entering and exiting the premises. Directing traffic flow and informs infractions to appropriate personnel. You must be able to be available for 24 hr. call, work weekend, holidays, and unscheduled shifts if needed.

What You Do. 

• Maintain detailed logs of all truck traffic, including carrier details, trailer and seal numbers, and times of entry and exit. Verify and record delivery and pickup information, and ensure proper paperwork is completed.

• Conduct regular rounds and inspections of the truck yard, monitor activity for security breaches, verify that trailers are secured, and report any suspicious activity or safety hazards to supervisor.

• Direct truck drivers to the appropriate areas for pickups and deliveries, and ensure they follow proper procedures, including verifying and applying tamper-evident seals.

• Participate in emergency evacuation responses, report any incidents in the yard related to trucking issues, and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Complete and file end-of-shift reports, maintain the guard shack, assist associates and visitors needing assistance, duties and other tasks as assigned.

Your Education and Experience. 

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED/HSED) required.
