The Role
Supervise and support group of Regional Digital Health Support Officers and ensure successful implementation of Digital Health Systems
.Support, Technical Assistance (TA) sub-national (County, Sub- County and District) Health Management Teams and LG partner engagements with key focus on Digital Health.Key Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks
Digital health experiments and platform updates
  • Coordination of upgrades within digital health platforms
  • Organize and conduct new Digital Health product engagements to all learning site teams both in pilot and rollout phase.
  • Testing, piloting and rollout of new digital health systems or products
  • Reviewing and analysing UAT feedback shared by RDHSOs
  • Facilitating the implementation of all DH experiments and pilots in terms of resource allocation and empowerment
  • User Acceptance Testing of DH App updates (Major and Minor) changes prior to deployment
Digital Health Implementation Support
  • Offer first line support in troubleshooting the digital health data gaps on our applications, escalation and follow up for resolution and closure: -
  • The Smart-Health Application. (CHW and Supervisor)
  • Reporting & Monitoring tools (Dashboards, Couh2pg & Dataware house report).
  • Support Data gathering and analysis outside what is visualised on the dashboards through branch and District engagements: -
  • Sub-national (County, sub-county and District) Health Management Team meetings.
  • Quarterly Performance Review meetings for Program Delivery.
  • Evaluate user needs and system functionality, ensuring that DH facilities meet these
  • Coordination of troubleshooting, identification and systematic resolution of digital health systems.
  • Support Learning Sites and offer Technical Assistance (TA) to Sub-national (County, sub-county and District) Health Management Teams on the various Digital Health systems including Smart Health Application (CHW and CHS Apps), Performance Management & reporting tools.
  • Identification of improvement opportunities into the digital health platforms and supporting business / program teams with business requirement definitions
  • Support data review meetings within the respective operational areas by working with other DH & analyst resources to ensure availability and validity of data
  • Troubleshooting root causes on data related issues by driving holistic cross functional engagements
  • Facilitate and ensure program teams have timely and sufficient level access of reporting tools (Dashboards and Dataware house reports)
  • Drive a progressive improvement on data security and asset management to reduce breakdown and losses and cost as a whole

  • Collaborate with other RDHCs across the organization to cross-learning for continuous improvement in terms of operational effectiveness.
Technical Assistance (TA)
  • Offer technical IT assistance to the sub-subnational (County, sub-county and District) Health Management teams to enable them drive digital health programs effectively.
  • Offer technical support to project implementation cycle to the designated LG stakeholders and partners
  • Support Sub-national (County, sub-county, and District) health management’s teams during performance reviews.
Team leadership and supervision
  • Supervise and coordinate a dedicated team to provide timely and quality implementation of digital health activities.
  • Monitor team’s issue resolution and ensures quality service is delivered. Examples include raising staffing level concerns, prioritizing work, RDHSO resource allocation etc.
  • Ensure that all field issues are reported through the help desk and follow-up to ensure resolution within the agreed SLAs (Service level agreements).
  • Assess the skilling & Training needs of RDHSOs with key focus on Mentorship and coaching.
  • Ensure that RDHSO weekly reports are submitted on time and outstanding weekly tasks are followed up and closed.
  • Asset management in the assigned region (group of branches)Digital Health Training
  • Prepare digital knowledge-based management documents to support field teams with simple troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate Expansion and programmatic Training Support.
  • Drive a progressive improvement on data interpretation, analysis and review by conducting trainings and workshops
  • Assign training resources as needed.
  • Take the lead on refresher trainings.
  • Creating training material, documentation and system manuals
Academic Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field; Or Degree in Business related field plus the following technical certification from accredited body; ITIL Compulsory, Project Management (Prince2 / PMI, Scrum) SQL or COMPTIA
  • Minimum of (4) years relevant experience of deployment and implementation of digital health solutions
