We have an opportunity for an Interpreter. We are seeking qualified individuals to perform Spanish language interpretation services for the Superior Court of California and for parties to proceedings. The ideal candidate shall possess and maintain a valid certificate as a "Certified Court Interpreter" issued by the Judicial Council of California on behalf of the State of California. This position requires travel within an assigned geographic region, however may also require travel throughout Riverside County.

Selection Procedures:
Step I: All applications will be reviewed to identify candidates who meet the minimum qualifications; those qualified candidates may be referred to step II in the selection process.

Step II: Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications may be reviewed by the Subject Matter Expert(s). Successful candidates may be invited to participate in the examination process.

Step III: Those candidates that are successful in the previous step may be invited to take a pass/fail assessment. Those candidates passing the examination may be referred to step IV in the selection process.

Step IV: Those candidates that are successful in the previous step may be invited to an oral interview.

Additional steps for the selection process will include a drug test, background and reference checks.

MEDICAL PLAN and DENTAL PLAN
The Court offers medical and dental plans.
Employees may waive the Court-offered Medical and Hospital Plan, if they provide proof of other current "group" health plan coverage
MEDICAL FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PROGRAM
The Court contributes an amount each month, which is determined by the "Type of Enrollment", on behalf of each regular employee in a paid status, who is enrolled in one of the medical and hospital plans provided by the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside.
Flexible Benefit contributions shall be reduced on a pro-rated basis for an employee working less than full time.
VISION PLAN
The Court offers a vision plan.
VACATION/SICK LEAVE PROGRAM
Employees in this job class accrue vacation/sick leave; pro-rated if less than full time.
LIFE INSURANCE
Court pays a basic term life insurance policy for employees.
RETIREMENT
Participation in Public Employee's Retirement System (PERS).
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)
EAP is a benefit provided by Superior Court of California, County of Riverside for all employees.
HOLIDAYS
Generally fourteen days per year. Employees are entitled to eight (8) hours of holiday pay for each court recognized holiday.
