Your Day-to-Day Adventure:
As a Community Manager, you'll be the mastermind behind all things apartment community-related. Your daily tasks will encompass:
1. Resident Relations: Crafting exceptional resident experiences, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and cultivating a fantastic community ambiance.
2. Applicant Management: Navigating rental applications, shepherding the underwriting process, and ensuring a seamless move-in experience for new residents.
3. Rent Collection: Orchestrating rent collection, keeping a close eye on any delinquencies, and taking appropriate measures to ensure timely payments.
4. Maintenance Requests: Coordinating and prioritizing maintenance and repair requests, collaborating closely with maintenance teams and contractors to uphold the property's condition.
5. Budgeting and Accounting: Playing a pivotal role in crafting and managing property budgets, tracking expenses, and maintaining meticulous financial records.
6. Vendor and Contractor Management: Seeking out and nurturing relationships with top-notch vendors and contractors, hammering out contracts, and ensuring top-tier service delivery.
7. Team Leadership: Guiding and motivating a dedicated team, offering mentorship, training, and unwavering support to guarantee peak performance and professionalism.
Your Qualifications for Success:
To thrive in this role, you'll need to bring the following to the table:
- Experience: 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in managing LIHTC apartment communities.
- Experience managing HAP properties is highly desired.
- Customer Service Prowess: Stellar interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to foster positive relationships with residents, applicants, and team members.
- Organizational Wizardry: Proven multitasking abilities, an innate sense of organization, and an impeccable attention to detail, even in the face of a whirlwind of activities and frequent interruptions.
- Leadership Magic: Experience in leading a team, inspiring others, and nurturing a culture of excellence, accountability, and ownership.
