WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The incumbent will be joining our Production team to supports operations by coordinating labor requirements, maintain quality standards within established specifications, provide on the job training, support safety programs, and administer other production and personnel functions. Your action will ensure efficient and timely delivery of aluminum scrap and recycled aluminum finished products.

  • 1-3 years of experience performing a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.

Productivity Bonus Incentive!

  • $3/hr additional is guaranteed within the first 90-days
  • After 90 days, up to $6/hr additional for reaching production goals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct, coordinate, and prioritize production for the different departments to meet delivery dates.
  • Lead employees and assign work to meet production schedules; provide shift-to-shift continuity.
  • Ensure the quality of our finished product by providing timely and effective feedback to associates based on individual quality performance and productivity standards.
  • Actively display managerial courage by proactively addressing issues and conflicts.
  • Along with the Foreman, conduct or assist in conducting production start-up meetings that effectively communicate the daily goals and previous shift performance.
  • Work effectively with other departments that support the manufacturing process.
  • Coach others on procedures, teamwork, etc., and lead by example. Exemplify a positive attitude and behavior.
  • Identify opportunities and implement productivity improvements.
  • Provide input on employee performance management for personnel as required and/or assigned.

In Training Duties

  • Manually stack aluminum ingots weighing 28 pounds each
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Accurately weigh, record, mark, and band finished product to customer specifications
  • Safely operate a forklift to transport finished products to trailers or warehouse
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspection of production equipment
  • Assist maintenance personnel as directed during adverse conditions or line malfunctions
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment and clothing, and follow safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of experience performing a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to work in various manufacturing areas to learn all aspects of production (Training period).
  • Bilingual - Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work extended periods in heat and cold as dictated by outside temperatures
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently
