Associate Vice President and Chief Enrollment Officer
.
Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the chief enrollment officer will lead the universitys core enrollment systems and help identify and develop institutional strategy, structures, and resources to advance institutional efforts and facilitate the attainment of enrollment goals. The successful candidate will have the vision and expertise to attract, select, enroll, and retain a talented and diverse undergraduate and graduate student body in collaboration with academic leadership. This leader will demonstrate contemporary and outside-of-the-box thinking about enrollment strategies, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to support our diverse student body while maximizing the experience and expertise of enrollment management professionals under their leadership.
UAlbany is one of four University Centers of the State University of New York (SUNY). With an enrollment of about 16,800 students, the university carries a "Very High Research" Carnegie designation. Sitting in the center of New York's "Tech Valley," the university is well connected to the established and emerging industries of the areagovernment and public policy, physical and life sciences, healthcare, and nanotechnology and semiconductors. UAlbany is also well recognized as an innovator in student success and social mobility for its students. The university was designated as a First Gen Forward institution by the Center for First-Generation Student Success and has also earned the Seal of Excelencia, certifying its comprehensive approach to supporting Latina and Latino students.
As a campus leader, the chief enrollment officer will play a crucial role in enrolling undergraduate students and advising on graduate student enrollment from diverse populations. Additional key components of this dynamic role are collaborating across campus, creating innovative plans and services, mentoring, and supervising a talented enrollment management leadership team, and advocating for UAlbany with external stakeholders, making it an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader in higher education.
Enrollment Management at UAlbany consists of several major functions, including undergraduate admissions (including enrollment marketing and the welcome experience), registrar, financial aid, student accounts, student services center, transfer admissions, undergraduate international admissions, and graduate application processing. The staff consists of approximately 70 full-time professionals, several part-time staff, and many student employees who work in both front-facing and administrative roles.
The salary will be competitive and will be commensurate with education and experience and includes a robust benefits package, including medical coverage and retirement. UAlbany's salary range for this position is $175,000 to $195,000.
