Iberia Medical Center is Hiring a Special Procedures Tech Near New Iberia, LA
IMC is currently looking to hire a Special Procedures Tech , in our Cath Lab, full time. Thisposition performs scrub and radiographic duties for proceduresincluding cardiac catheterizations, peripheral angiography, clot retrieval,pacer implant/explant and more. Responsibilities include all x-ray equipment, cardiac cath equipment,implementation of patient charges and proper preparation of the patient and labprior to the procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduateof Radiologic program, which is accredited by the Joint Review Committee forRadiology Technology Education (JRCRTE).
- Valid Louisiana State License
- Previous experience preferred, but not required
- Perform prescribed specialized radiographic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation as directed by provider, organizational policies, procedures and protocols
- Operates all radiographic equipment in Cath Lab at a technical levelunder the direction of a cardiologist.
- Set up procedural tray and scrub for all Cath Lab cases and performs scrub assist role during invasive procedures
- Assist with preparation and transport of patient to and from Cath Lab
