SHR Talent is partnering with a client in Nashville, TN in its search for a Financial Business Consultant. As the Financial Business Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic business and operational guidance and advisory services to the client’s Marketing and Corporate Affairs Department (MCA). Leveraging your expertise in finance, accounting, and business analysis, the Financial Business Consultant will collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for financial optimization, risk mitigation, and operational improvement, enabling clients to make informed decisions, achieve their financial objectives, and drive sustainable growth.
To be successful in the role as the Financial Business Consultant, you should possess a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions and exceeding client expectations, strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and derive actionable insights, excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, and the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
The Financial Business Consultant is a 1099 contract or contract-to-hire opportunity with an expected contract duration of 6 or more months.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving key initiatives by supporting business activities such as reporting, financial management, and resource planning
  • Possess the ability to strategically align routine business tasks with the broader agenda of a complex enterprise
  • Oversee the implementation of departmental plans, budgets, expenditure, and performance metrics
  • Provide analysis on resource requirements, contributing to crafting executive communication materials for critical business and operational priorities
  • Support the management of external business partners, vendors, and agencies
  • Execute routine financial operations tasks
  • Aid in the invoicing process, ensuring correct coding, preparing journal entries, and managing accruals
  • Contribute to budget preparation and ongoing monitoring efforts
  • Analyze monthly data from various sources, synthesizing it into actionable reports and presentations for senior leadership in Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA)
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses as required
  • Contribute to the development of initiatives aligned with the strategic plan of Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA)
  • Develop comprehensive business cases and proposals for initiatives, encompassing background analysis, strategy definition, project approach, resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Analyze existing and prospective initiatives, evaluate progress against business objectives, assess business impact, and provide recommendations for optimization or further evaluation
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather qualitative insights and identify potential opportunities or recommendations
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) leaders to execute strategic initiatives, from defining project approach to measuring success
  • Support the planning, execution, and closure phases of key departmental initiatives
  • Create initiative roadmaps to ensure stakeholder alignment and facilitate tactical project planning
  • Develop materials and presentations to communicate strategic approach, dependencies, and project variables to key stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate risks to initiatives, working proactively with leadership to address issues
  • Define appropriate reporting metrics to communicate successes and identify areas for improvement
  • Proactively track and measure progress towards initiative goals, utilizing consistent processes for performance tracking
  • Fulfill all other duties as assigned to support the operational requirements of the rapidly expanding Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, required
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) or professional certifications such as, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred
  • 4 – 6 years of experience in financial analysis, consulting, or advisory roles, preferably in a client-facing capacity
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, or financial modeling, preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, required
  • Experience with Salesforce or other similar Customer Relation Management (CRM) software, preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience, preferred
  • Client delivery and customer facing experience, strongly preferred
