Pearl Meyer is Hiring a HRIS, Comp & Payroll Analyst (PT) Near Wellesley, MA

Job Summary:
Our HRIS, Compensation & Payroll Analyst, plays a crucial role in compensation, HRIS, performance management and payroll administration. This position is part-time, 20 hours per week. This detail-oriented role combines technical experience with administrative efficiency and is key to our success as we continue to be an employer of choice.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Compensation
  • In partnership with management, prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine appropriate compensation for employees and new hires.
  • Maintains and is subject matter expert on compensation & bonus planning software – CompXL.
HRIS
  • Manages HR Analytics and reporting dashboards.
  • Serves as main point of contact for HR-related reports.
  • Serve as the systems and process expert for implementations, upgrades, and configuration changes to align with business needs.
  • Oversees the testing of the system for upgrades, data conversation, and implementation of interfaces with other systems.
  • Serves as the main point of contact between the Human Resources Department, IT, and the vendor for all HR Technology system issues.
Payroll
  • Manage payroll administration for the company, including processing bi-weekly non-exempt and exempt payroll, tax profile setup and maintenance, and general payroll and tax recordkeeping.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Safeguard compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices.
  • Produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll in collaboration with Finance.
  • Follow up with employees who are missing timecard and hour information.
  • Complete biweekly deduction files for benefit vendors.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions.
Performance Management
  • Manage the calculation and distribution of bonuses for eligible employees according to company policies and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders such as Finance and department heads to ensure accuracy in bonus allocations.
  • Oversee the administration and utilization of the CompXL platform for compensation planning and management.
  • Train relevant staff members on how to effectively use the CompXL platform for merit determinations and compensation adjustments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues or concerns related to the CompXL platform.
  • Facilitate the merit determination process by collecting and analyzing relevant data, including employee performance evaluations, market salary benchmarks, and budgetary considerations.
Administrative Support
  • Support the hiring process by scheduling all interviews and maintaining communication with candidates.
  • Performs administrative duties related to onboarding such as I-9, everify, background checks, and more.
  • Assist with employee offboarding process.
  • Maintain updated employee files, ensure organization of the HR drive, and ensure that documents are easily accessed.
  • Conduct annual employee file and I-9 audits.
  • Process address and other employee data changes across systems in a timely manner.
  • Administer employment verification requests.
  • Work with Accounting to process all monthly HR-related expenses.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Analytical and well-versed in Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Strong technical and/or reporting background with an HRIS system.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a passion for quality.
  • Enthusiasm for fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace where every individual can thrive.
  • Must be a team player to create a seamless experience for our employees
  • Comfort navigating new and changing technologies and leveraging them to enhance HR processes and efficiencies.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Compensation, HRIS and/or Payroll Administration.
  • Prior experience using BambooHR preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
