Counseling Manager – Bilingual Spanish

Overview:

JBWS in Morris County is seeking a dynamic, committed full-time Manager to work in our domestic violence Child, Adolescent and Adult Counseling Services Program. This position oversees programming in partnership with the Director, providing supervision and ensuring that staff, interns, and volunteers provide and demonstrate best practices in trauma-informed services founded in a knowledge of domestic violence. A portion of the position provides direct counseling services to individuals and families within residential programming and to outpatient individuals and families. Our ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge and understanding of the experiences of marginalized communities, working collaboratively and flexibly to meet the needs of those served.

Schedule Requirements:

Full time 35 hours per week Monday-Friday, at least 3 evenings per week. Family events are held several times per year, evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS include but are not limited to:

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field, two years counseling experience required.
• License professional credentials (LSW, LAC) required, independent licensure preferred (LCSW, LPC)
• Bilingual English/Spanish, required.
• 2 years managerial experience in program monitoring and planning, including experience supervising staff/interns in the delivery of direct services.
• Experience providing counseling to children and families.
• Knowledge and sensitivity to the issues related to client experiences of domestic violence.
• A sincere dedication to a non-judgmental manner of supporting self-help.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
• 40 Hr. Domestic Violence training preferred, but will provide otherwise

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
