Warehouse Team Member, Logistics

The Commencement Group is looking to hire a Warehouse Team Member in our Compton branch.

THIS JOB IS SEASONAL FOR THE MONTHS OF APRIL, MAY, JUNE AND DECEMBER.

Position Description:

Warehouse Team Members participate in the day to day logistics of the LA warehouse. They implement the regional operation of The Commencement Group which includes connecting staff with their vehicles, inventory and supplies, as well as preparing their region for success during our busy graduation season. The Warehouse Team is one of our most visible teams, interacting with hundreds of seasonal interns and other staff on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance of the warehouse facility for the Los Angeles branch
• Assist Warehouse Manager with vehicle reservations, transport/dispatch and vehicle issues 
• Support Warehouse Manager in planning, scheduling, directing and executing the day-to-day warehouse activities
• Conduct frequent inventory audits in a timely manner
• Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
• Assist with the shipping and receiving for our warehouse
• Maintain peak level of staff morale, motivation and workflow within the organization for maximum level of productivity
• Flexibility to work weekends
• Constantly work toward improving the logistics of the warehouse
• Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Drivers license & reliable transportation
• 1 years of warehouse experience
• Ability to operate refrigerated trucks, pallet jacks, and other common warehouse tools
