Job Description:
We are searching for a caring, career-minded education professional to teach in the History Department. The position may include teaching at all Upper School levels from 9th through 12th grade and can include teaching in various content areas, including U.S. History, World History, U.S. Government and the Social Sciences. The teacher will work in a dynamic, collaborative, and technology-rich environment with fellow teachers to create an educationally sound and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach a full course load; 5 classes and 1 section of emergency proctoring
• Participate in co-curricular, service and retreat opportunities with students
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Requirments

• Undergraduate degree in History or related fields and either successful completion of a teacher training program or 3 years of field experience working in middle or high school Social Studies classrooms. Experience teaching Advanced Placement courses preferred.
