Position Overview:

As an Inventory/Merchandising Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our inventory system, ensuring accurate records, and supporting the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the integrity of the Inventory Module by accurately receiving products, processing purchase orders, and obtaining appropriate manager approval on all invoices.
• Input invoices in Accounts Payable for all inventory items, matching invoices to Purchase Orders and Receiving Documentation as appropriate.
• Work with vendors to resolve purchase price and quantity variances between purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices.
• Reconcile all vendor consignment statements monthly and promptly resolve any discrepancies directly with the vendor.
• Assist with receiving daily shipments, verifying their accuracy based on packing slips, and assigning them to the correct location.
• Distribute merchandise to stores for weekly replenishment as needed.
• Place Special Orders with vendors, update item costs when received, and provide ad hoc reporting as requested.
• Assist with year-end audits and special projects such as price changes, stock balancing, returns to vendors, and merchandising.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with resolving accounting issues.
• Self-starter with solid time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.

Working Conditions:

• Physical agility requirements such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, repetitive motions, and manual dexterity.
• Sensory requirements include standard vision, ability to express ideas, and standard hearing requirements.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
