SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting and training molders in the areas of process discipline, process knowledge, and technical ability.

WAGE TYPE: Hourly, non-exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must lead by example in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and discipline to process.

• Responsible for keeping molding machines running

• Teaching and assisting molders in correctly diagnosing and repairing CPC issues

• Maximize quantity and decrease scrap of production output

• This person must work closely with the CI group regarding process changes and problems solving efforts.

• The first line of contact on the deck for any questions concerns or issues

• Shift Supervisor with a dotted line to CI Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience Expected:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required

• Must pass ATEK Utility Leadership Training to become a Certified Deck Leader.

• Must pass ATEK Functional Job Analysis and Pre- Employment Drug Screen for Utility Positions.

• Must be a certified trainer, or obtain training in a determined amount of time.

• Must have a strong knowledge of sprays with tools.

• Must have the ability to use CPC feedback to monitor processes and troubleshoot issues.

• Must have strong knowledge of tooling and set up process to help diagnose problems and fix tooling related issues.

• Must have good mechanical aptitude, good communication and training skills.

• Must be self motivated and able to work without detailed work instructions.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in manufacturing

• National Career Readiness Certificate preferred

Communication Skills:

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language

• Must be able to effectively communicate and train employees to complete work that meets specifications.

Working Conditions:

• Will have regular exposure to foundry environment including: dust, heat, fumes and noise
