Magen David Yeshivah is looking for Lead Teachers 2023-24 at our Brooklyn school. FT and PT positions are available, position is to cover maternity leave.

The school year is consistent with the Jewish calendar and closed during summer.

Responsibilities

• The Head Teacher will design and maintain a classroom environment that facilitates active, hands-on learning, group management, self-expression and choice, and inclusion of all children, parents, volunteers and staff.
• Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress.
• Educate and support students to help them accomplish learning benchmarks.
• Plan lessons that target specific skills and concepts.
• Evaluate each student’s growth in knowledge and skills in the course being taught.
• Cultivate core Jewish values such as kindness, respect, compassion and integrity within students.
• Participates in various student and parent activities which occur in school including PTA and student clubs.

Qualifications:

• 
  Associate Teacher should hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• 
  Head Teacher should have a Master’s degree and hold certification and/or NYS license in related fields with a minimum of 1-3 years of teaching experience.
