Overview:

We seek a dedicated Grade 6 English Teacher eager to innovate and empower. You will help establish an achievement-oriented and supportive classroom culture while delivering standards-aligned instruction utilizing diverse and engaging techniques. Through individualized coaching and collaborative professional learning, you'll have the opportunity to develop as an educator, leader, and pioneer in Oakland school reform. Job Summary:

As a Grade 6 Middle School Teacher at Aurum Preparatory Academy, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our students. You will deliver high-quality instruction, foster a love for learning, and support your students' social and emotional development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver effective, Common Core-aligned lesson plans
• Employ data-driven instructional practices to meet all students' needs
• Foster an achievement-focused classroom culture of believing in every child
• Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback
• Partner with families through clear communication
• Participate actively in coaching, grade-level collaboration, and professional development

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in subject area (Master's preferred)
• Valid CA teaching credential
• 2 years of teaching experience
• A passionate belief that all students can achieve regardless of circumstance
• Strong instructional and classroom management capacity

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
