Position Summary:
Upstate Companies I, LLC is seeking an experienced Foremen / Superintendents. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Their duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks and providing on-site direction when preparing construction sites.Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation.
- Coordinate the required labor, supplies, materials and other project requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
- Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors for efficient completion of the project
- Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
- Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
- Ensure Safety requirements are implemented on the jobsite
- Embrace a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
- Able to work both independently and as a team.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Decision making ability.
- Strong customer service skills with focus on providing solutions.
- Ability to conduct negotiations with clients, vendors and subcontractors.
- Firm understanding of building construction processes and tools.
- Working with engineering design, procurement and construction practices and procedures
- Some knowledge of project management cost systems
- Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
