As Wellness Assistant Manager your role will be to help organize wellness staff and maximize their daily efficiency and productivity, as well as to assist the Wellness team and management. Wellness Assistant Manager Benefits: * In-house product training * Event volunteer opportunities in the community * 30% discount on our tasty Fresh Eats menu * Deep discounts on vitamin supplements * Discounts on Peoples Rx practitioner consultation services * Medical dental vision * Paid vacation holiday sick leave (up to 168 hours annually!) * 401K Wellness Assistant Manager Qualifications: * Minimum 2 years retail experience, preferably in natural grocery and nutritional supplements * Knowledge or background in nutrition, natural health and wellness. * Minimum 1 year management/leadership experience, ideally in a "servant/leadership" * Lead by example * Outstanding customer service skills * Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail environment * Strong computer skills * Frequent lifting, kneeling, carrying up to 50lbs, and ability to stand for 8 hours per day * Flexible Schedule - Available to work evenings and weekends, possibly at more than one location, as needed * Familiarity with inventory management, loss prevention, stock rotation and the retail customer service environment * Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Wellness Assistant Manager Responsibilities: * Train new staff members using company guidelines and training materials * Set employee goals and objectives, lead employee evaluations, guide team members for success in their role * Plan, prioritize and delegate department duties * Managing product shelving and inventory * Identify and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability * Overseeing fair and equitable systems for ensuring store maintenance duties such as dusting, restocking bathroom products and light cleaning are performed * Assist in ensuring the wellness department is staffed adequately to cover all shifts and run the department smoothly, creating or managing personnel schedules * Communication with variety of staff members by email or face to face on relevant department updates, changes, or issues * Ability to handle complex and escalated customer service issues professionally and kindly
