Boone County Government is Hiring a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Near Lebanon, IN

Boone County – Deputy Prosecutor Position

We are excited to announce the opportunity to join the Boone County Prosecutor's Office as a Deputy Prosecutor Attorney. This pivotal role involves managing Level 6 felony and misdemeanor cases in our Circuit Court, contributing to the upholding of justice within our community. We are seeking individuals with a Juris Doctor degree who are licensed to practice law in Indiana. While previous prosecution experience is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for application.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, our deputy prosecutors benefit from enrollment in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF), comprehensive county benefits, and other BCPO-specific fringe benefits.

Professional growth is a cornerstone of our office culture. Therefore, we provide extensive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) opportunities funded by the office. Moreover, deputy prosecutors can qualify for additional compensation, on average about $1,000, for participating in on-call duties and delivering law enforcement training.
