Job Description

Our Home Health Agency organization is seeking an experienced Medical Biller to work in our financial department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, with the skills necessary to improve our current billing procedures and reduce A/R days. We offer competitive compensation.

*Perform posting charges and completion of claims to payers in a timely fashion *Implement, maintain, and report on programs initiated by the practice *Submit billing data to insurance providers *Collections *Will be familiar with HCFA -CMS-1500 and UB04 *Daily/Weekly/Monthly processing of electronic and paper claims for assigned payers. *Understand and adhere to payer requirements for claim submission, including attaching all necessary documentation to process claims. *Ensure that all electronic submissions are accepted at the payor level and that rejections are corrected within the established timeframe. *Work claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided *Enhanced knowledge of HIPAA privacy guidelines as well as maintaining and protecting all confidential information. *Ability to multitask and set priorities on various projects f and reports or the highest rate of returns. *Knowledge of Commercial, Medicare/Medicaid, and Medicare/Medicaid HMOs / Medicare Advantage Plans. *Understanding of A/R project procedures and processes, and the follow-up required to drive collections *Excellent problem-solving skills *2 years' experience as a Medical Biller *Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) *Excel, Word , AR Report *Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment *Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
