The ER Technician prepares patients for physician examination. Provides clinical and administrative support to emergency department staff. Being an ER Technician provides wound care and assists with splints, slings, casts, and crutches. Measures and records vital signs, performs EKGs, and collects lab samples as needed. In addition, ER Technician cleans, inspects, and sets up emergency rooms and equipment. Requires a high school diploma. Requires CPR/BLS Certification. May require EMT or CNA Certification.
