The Regional Director will drive growth by leading Zywave’s rate distribution (rate quote) selling team, ensuring effective market penetration and adoption of digital quoting solutions. This role is responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategies, building strong carrier and broker relationships, and empowering the team to deliver consistent revenue results. By championing Zywave’s innovative distribution technology, the Regional Sales Manager will position the company as the premier partner for streamlined quoting and rate delivery across the insurance ecosystem.
What you will do
- Responsible for achieving revenue goals of regional sales team on an ongoing basis to ensure region is on target with established growth goals and objectives.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies that drive adoption of Zywave’s quoting and distribution solutions.
- Drive pipeline management and implement effective sales processes to ensure predictable growth.
- Analyze reports regarding sales activity and metrics to identify past trends to develop strategic action plans to improve business metrics to ensure future revenue growth.
- Prepare/manage monthly regional forecasts accurately through active pipeline management in SFDC.
- Participate in key aspects of the sales process for high priority opportunities to support Account Executives.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams by implementing effective talent acquisition strategies, fostering professional growth, and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Participate in onboarding process of new Account Executives and assist with action plans to jump start territory penetration.
- Maintain competitive intelligence and working knowledge of industry trends.
- High degree of working knowledge of the full Zywave product suite.
- Provide leadership and guidance to address employee and client issues.
- Work cross functionally to ensure clear communication and share best practices.
- Work with sales management team to develop strategies for revenue growth.
What you should bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Minimum 7 years in sales with proven success in Enterprise and Midmarket sales environments. Demonstrated expertise in expansion and cross-sell strategies, as well as net new logo acquisition.
- Minimum of 4 years in a leadership capacity. Strong leadership skills required to manage regionally deployed workforce, while effectively interacting and coordinating activities.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets in competitive markets.
- Exhibit grit, resilience, and a hunger for success, thriving in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
- Maintain strong executive presence and communication skills, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong industry knowledge across Personal Lines (PL) and Commercial Lines (CL) Property & Casualty (P&C), with experience in broker and carrier markets.
- Highly refined business acumen and problem-solving skills required.
- Demonstrated computer systems knowledge, including web technologies, CRM, pricing tools and communication portals.
- Ability to travel on a regular basis and incur business expenses for reimbursement per company policy. Personal credit card and active driver’s license required.
