Position Overview

We’re seeking a detail‑driven AP Specialist to support day‑to‑day financial processes in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing vendor payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting compliance and audit readiness across the organization.

What You Will Do as an AP Specialist:

• Process a high volume of accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices and credit memos, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payment.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities by preparing, reviewing, and reconciling accounts payable records.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements throughout the accounts payable process.
• Process vendor payments through various methods, including manual checks and company credit cards.
• Research, track, and follow up on outstanding invoices, missing receiving documentation, pending approvals, and unresolved payment issues to ensure timely vendor payments.
• Assist with audit preparation by gathering, organizing, and maintaining supporting documentation and records.
• Support internal departments with annual 1099 reporting processes, including vendor record maintenance and documentation review.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure supporting documentation is complete and properly filed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting or finance-related experience.

• Exceptional attention to detail and exceptional organization skills.
• Proficient in 10-key data entry by touch with a high-degree of accuracy.
• Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in accounts payable or finance operations
• Data entry or invoice processing experience
• Familiarity with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP)
• Previous experience working remotely
• Experience working in a fast-paced accounting or finance environment
