Role Description The Forklift Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based at ZoRoCo Packaging in Caldwell, ID. In this role, the team member safely operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload raw materials, packaging, and finished goods throughout the facility. Daily responsibilities include supporting shipping and receiving activities, organizing inventory in designated storage areas, and staging materials for production lines according to schedules and work orders. The Forklift Operator verifies documentation, labels, and counts to ensure accurate order fulfillment, while following safety, food safety, and quality guidelines. This position also assists with general warehouse duties, basic equipment checks, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Forklift Operation and safe Material Handling practices.
- Experience with Shipping & Receiving processes, including documentation and inventory movement.
- Ability to perform Unloading and Packing tasks efficiently in a fast-paced production or warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse safety procedures and commitment to food safety and quality standards.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, or food production environments preferred.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required, stand for extended periods, and work in cold or freezer environments when needed.
- Reliable attendance, strong attention to detail, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification is beneficial.
