What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical /Mechanical/Assembly Production Technician position at ZORG North America?
Electronic Assembly Job Responsibilities:
-These responsibilities cover three areas-
- Receiving -Conducting/Creating the daily receipt, documentation and distribution of incoming supplier/customer material. Receiving personnel shall receive material from freight/parcel carriers and receive against PO’s, RA’s or other forms of internal receipt documentation. The material will be labeled and stored in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Warehouse maintenance- The person in this position will also be responsible for the overall warehouse organization and housekeeping.
Daily Responsibilities:
-Sales order fulfillment
- Ensure all orders received before 4 pm are packed and shipped.
- Notify the Team if a product is unavailable and determine the best solution for the customer (Backorder, cancel, substitution, etc.)
- Notify the team when new part bundles need to be set up in QBO to fulfill the customer's order if required. (not inventory items)
- Advise the team of any issues found with products or shortages of products.
- Review shipping materials such as boxes and packing materials. Provide Management with a list of required supplies.
-Receiving
- Receive returns and vendor orders. This process includes 1) opening and checking qty's of the product as needed, 2) Forwarding the receiving paperwork to the team.
- Creating production records and forwarding them to the team for inventory adjustment.
- Creating product labels denoting material source, part number, description, rec't qty & storage location.
- Work closely with the team in tracking short-run harnesses production needed to fulfill orders and to maintain shelf stock designated materials.
- Close down/out UPS and FedEx at the end of the day as requested.
-Warehouse management
- Straighten the warehouse area if needed and prepare for the next business day.
- Identify shortages / low inventory levels to expedite material as needed.
- Quarantine all non-conforming material.
- Collect and dispose of trash and clutter to reduce safety issues.
Monthly Responsibilities:
- Inventory Cycle counts – Random counts of inventory items to help ensure our system's accuracy.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all proper procedures are followed when the product is shipped, received or stored. This includes but is not limited to the accuracy or the orders and proper packing procedures; ensuring any products being shipped, picked up, or pulled from the inventory have an order to be entered and documented to ensure inventory accuracy.
- All received material has system documentation where it affects inventory, quality status and location.
