Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve coffee beverages, teas, snacks, and light food items with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales processing
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including cash handling, basic math calculations, and receipt issuance
- Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and organize product displays to enhance the customer experience
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or packaging baked goods to ensure quality standards are met
Experience
- Previous barista or café experience is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with coffee preparation and food service routines
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Experience using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in a retail or food industry setting
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling, retail math calculations, and balancing registers
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
