Location: Onsite (San Luis Obispo, CA)
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly financial close processes and reporting
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, research variances, and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare monthly accruals and deferrals in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain employee accounts in Unanet (ERP) for new hires, rate changes, project assignments, and other updates as needed
- Create and post labor cost for semi-monthly payroll cycle, verify inputs in Unanet and post payroll journal entries
- Assist in preparation for internal, financial, or DCAA audits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate labor distribution and cost tracking
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 8 years of accounting experience with 3–5 years in a government contracting environment
- Working experience in Unanet ERP (GovCon)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and DCAA compliance requirements
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
- US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with indirect rate structures (fringe, overhead, G&A)
- Previous participation in external audits or DCAA reviews
- Familiarity with timekeeping compliance and labor distribution rules
- Knowledge of revenue recognition for government contracts (e.g., T&M, CPFF, FFP contracts)
Pay range for this role: $130,000 USD - $180,000 USD
