Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer

Travel Required to Locations: Warren, MI & Toledo, OH

Key Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) is required.
• Strong experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting, specifically with:
• • Allen-Bradley
  • Siemens
• Experience in installation, commissioning, startup, and debugging of automation systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel between Warren, MI and Toledo, OH as project needs require.
• Prior experience supporting automotive manufacturing environments is preferred.
• General Motors (GM) project or plant experience is a strong plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install and commission automated material handling and ASRS systems.
• Perform system startup, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging activities.
• Support PLC controls integration using Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Travel to customer sites in Michigan and Ohio for implementation and support activities.
