Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Fixture & Tooling Design

Position Overview
Seeking an engineering-focused Manufacturing Engineer with strong hands-on experience in CAD design, fixture/tooling development, engineering drawings, and manufacturing support. The ideal candidate will work closely with manufacturing and production teams to design and improve fixtures, tooling, and equipment used in welding, brazing, assembly, and other manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and equipment components using CAD.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings for production use.
• Support the design and development of fixtures primarily used for welding and brazing applications.
• Work directly with manufacturing engineers, operators, and technicians to identify production needs and develop engineering solutions.
• Adapt and improve fixture, tooling, and equipment designs to meet manufacturing, assembly, and production requirements.
• Apply engineering principles, GD&T, and design-for-manufacturing concepts to ensure designs are accurate and producible.
• Review design concepts and specifications and recommend solutions that optimize equipment utilization and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, work instructions, and design records.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and other support functions to resolve design and production issues.
• Properly document, revise, and release engineering designs and related manufacturing documentation.
• Utilize SAP, Creo, and Teamcenter for engineering, ERP, CAD, and product/document data management.

Required Qualifications

• Engineering background in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with CAD modeling and engineering design.
• Experience designing or supporting fixtures, tooling, equipment, or manufacturing assemblies.
• Strong proficiency in Creo or comparable 3D CAD software.
• Ability to create and interpret detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience working directly with manufacturing/production teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, assembly, welding, or brazing.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP and Teamcenter.
• Experience with welding/brazing fixtures or production tooling.
• Knowledge of GD&T and design-for-manufacturing.
• Experience with engineering change/release processes.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Aerospace, automotive, industrial, or other complex manufacturing experience.
