What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Roofer/ Carpenter position at ZMA Home Maintenance & Services LLC?
ZMA Home Maintenance & Services LLC is hiring an experienced Roofer/Carpenter for residential projects throughout Western Massachusetts. Roofing will be a primary responsibility, but the position will also involve carpentry, siding, framing, exterior repairs and general home-improvement work based on project needs.
Pay: $25–$32 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated skill
Schedule: Full-time, approximately 35–40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Remove and install asphalt-shingle roofing systems
- Install underlayment, flashing, drip edge, vents and related materials
- Locate leaks and complete roof and exterior repairs
- Perform carpentry, framing, siding and general home-improvement work
- Safely use ladders, roofing tools, power tools and fall-protection equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe job site
- Work effectively with the crew and treat customers’ property professionally
Qualifications:
- Previous roofing experience required
- Carpentry, framing, siding or remodeling experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of proper shingle installation, flashing and roof-repair methods
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Able to perform the physical duties of construction work, including lifting and carrying materials, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Reliable transportation to changing job locations throughout Western Massachusetts
- Dependable, punctual and committed to workplace safety
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
