OVERVIEW
Xanadu Build (Stockbridge, MA) is seeking an experienced full-time Carpenter to join our premier Berkshires-based residential home building team. The successful candidate is a skilled craftsperson who is committed to excellence and collaboration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Measure, cut, shape, and finish lumber and other construction materials using hand and power tools
- Construct building frameworks including walls, floors, ceilings, and door frames
- Install structural and finish components such as doors, windows, cabinets, stairs, trim, and paneling
- Inspect, repair, and replace damaged frameworks, structures, and fixtures
- Ensure all structures are level, square, plumb, and securely assembled
- Perform quality checks to ensure work meets project plans and company standards
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to complete work efficiently
- Communicate progress, challenges, and material needs clearly and promptly
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site in compliance with safety and health regulations
- Maintain and organize tools, materials, equipment, and construction trailer
- Identify and address job site hazards; follow and support safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Understand and comply with local codes, regulations, and labor laws
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Ideally 3 years of experience in residential carpentry or related construction work
- Working knowledge of carpentry techniques, building methods, and installation practices
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and other job site equipment
- Solid understanding of construction math, including measurements, calculations, and material takeoffs
- Experience using levels, squares, and other layout tools to ensure accurate and professional installations
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, including blueprints and drawings
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and accountability on job sites
- Access to reliable transportation to travel to job sites as required
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, work on feet for extended periods, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to take direction and adapt to changing project needs
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Exceptional Hammerschlagen skills

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
