Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our Finance team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to corporate accounting, financial reporting, and financial operations. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and committed to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, employee expense reimbursements, and vendor payments.
- Prepare customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections.
- Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting under company policies.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for financial reporting and external audits.
- Maintain accounting records and ensure data accuracy in the ERP/accounting system.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to resolve accounting questions.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
- Perform other accounting and finance projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships are welcome).
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred
- Internship or experience in a corporate accounting environment.
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with SaaS business models, subscription billing, or revenue recognition concepts.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
