Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in condition
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences
- Support residents with memory care, dementia, Alzheimer's, and autism-related needs
- Operate patient lifting equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with heavy lifting tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
- Follow individualized care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring environment
- Document all care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or nursing home settings preferred
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or special needs highly desirable
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care best practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation techniques required
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience working within HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of patient information
- Long-term care experience or social work background is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or behavioral support
