Key Responsibilities Include
- Diagnose and resolve manufacturing and quality issues on the production floor
- Perform defect analysis and metrology-based investigations
- Lead structured root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methods
- Support supplier quality and internal corrective actions
- Serve as primary quality interface with customers and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC requirements
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to prevent repeat defects
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement process improvements
- Drive containment, corrective, and preventive actions for complex issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field required
- 3–5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing (Tier 1 preferred)
- Strong experience with metrology and defect analysis
- Hands-on knowledge of stamping processes (Class A metal stamping preferred)
- Experience with supplier quality and/or customer-facing quality roles
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC
- Strong problem-solving skills using structured methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)
- Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with customers and cross-functional teams
- Must be comfortable working on the production floor in a hands-on environment
